Honesty about method matters most on a reviews page. Earlier versions of this page reported a star rating and approximate review count for MEDVi, and a rating for PlexusDx, attributed to a review platform without a source URL or retrievable dated capture. It is not the recurring price, and a review written in week two cannot tell you how the program feels at the third renewal. MEDVi's own results claim, one to two pounds per week after four weeks, appears on its site as marketing; we do not repeat it as a finding, and a reviewer's individual result is not a prediction of yours. Outcomes with any GLP-1 medication vary, and compounded products have no published trials of their own.

Common complaint themes and provider responses

The unfavorable themes some reviewers report cluster in three areas: a renewal charge they did not expect, a refund request that was declined after medication shipped, and slow or unclear communication about orders or dose changes. Treat each as an allegation from an individual customer, not an established pattern; we did not measure frequency.

On provider responses, we can only describe what MEDVi publishes: two email addresses (help@medvi.org and hello@medvi.org), a phone number, a Delaware business address, and portal chat for cancellations. Whether MEDVi replies publicly to reviews on a given platform is something to check there, since public responses are a useful signal of how a company handles complaints. Which issues reflect policy versus individual experience?

This is the most useful lens for reading MEDVi reviews. Several of the common complaints are not service failures at all; they are the published policy working as written. MEDVi's cancellation and refund policy says you may cancel anytime, but the request must arrive at least 72 hours before the next billing date, and service continues to the end of the cycle. A full refund is available only within the first 72 hours without receiving services, or on medical disqualification. On monthly billing, MEDVi states you will not be issued a refund for the month in which the cancellation occurs. Multi-month plans are refundable only for months with no medication shipped, consult fees are non-refundable, and prescription medication cannot be returned.

So a reviewer charged for another cycle after cancelling two days before renewal experienced the policy, not an error, and so did a reviewer denied a refund on shipped medication. Those are legitimate reasons to prefer a different program, but they are predictable and avoidable by reading the policy and setting a reminder before each renewal date.

Individual-experience issues are different: a delayed shipment from one of MEDVi's named pharmacies, a slow support reply, or confusion about a dose change. Those vary by person and week, and a single review cannot tell you whether they are typical. Clinical issues, such as side effects or a changed dose, belong to the prescribing clinician and are not something a review can evaluate.

Its oral tablet runs about $70 a month over its injection rate for the same compound (read on its plan-selection screen); MEDVi does not publish a tablet total on its public page. Its branded pathway (Wegovy® pill, Wegovy® injection, Zepbound® injection) is a $99 monthly membership plus the medication cost (as listed on MEDVi’s program page, September 22, 2026) billed separately, with availability subject to change. For compounded programs MEDVi states "Same fair price at every dose" and "No membership or hidden fees," in its words.

For tirzepatide, PlexusDx Tirzepatide Injection at $289/mo gives $867, $1,734, and $3,468; MEDVi's ongoing $399 rate, refill-only, gives $1,197, $2,394, and $4,788, $110 a month and $1,320 over 12 cycles more than PlexusDx. Compare MEDVi and PlexusDx on verifiable criteria

An earlier version of this page claimed one company had a stronger review record than the other. No same-date capture supports that claim, so it is withdrawn. What can be compared is what each company publishes.

MEDVi publishes more included services: free dietitian visits and care coaching, unlimited 24/7 support, a metabolic report, HSA/FSA acceptance, and a branded pathway for people who want an FDA-approved product. It names its compounding pharmacies (Triad Rx, RedRock Pharmacy, and Beaker Pharmacy & Compounding). It publishes a first-month price and a refill price for semaglutide injection and an ongoing $399 rate for tirzepatide injection, but not, on the public page, its tirzepatide first-month offer or a tablet total, and its refund policy is strict once medication ships.

PlexusDx publishes every price tier before intake and holds the monthly price flat across every dose level of a compound, changing it only with commitment tier. One price covers the provider visit, prescription, medication, and shipping, with no membership fee. You pay $0 until your provider approves a prescription, and month-to-month plans cancel anytime with no fees. Eligible adults can enroll across all 50 states; five states require a scheduled video consultation. PlexusDx does not bundle dietitian coaching, offer a branded pathway, or name its pharmacy partners publicly; care comes from an independent network of U.S.-licensed clinicians through a state-licensed telehealth platform, with medication prepared by state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies.

On regulatory status the two are identical: compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide from either program are not FDA-approved, are not the same as Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Zepbound®, or Mounjaro®, and brand-trial results do not establish their outcomes. MEDVi may suit you if bundled dietitian visits, coaching, and round-the-clock support are worth the $299 recurring semaglutide price, if you want HSA/FSA payment, or if you may want a branded product later without changing platforms. It rewards customers who read the refund policy and manage renewal dates.

PlexusDx may suit you if you want to see every price before answering a health question, pay one flat rate at every dose, avoid a first-month-to-refill step, and keep the option to cancel month-to-month with no fees.
