It depends on the plan. On MEDVi's compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide programs there is no separate membership fee: MEDVi states "No membership or hidden fees" and "Medication is included in the cost of the MEDVi Program," as read September 22, 2026. The recurring charge is the whole program: $179 for the first month for new patients, then $299 per billing cycle at refill for semaglutide injection, as displayed September 22, 2026. On MEDVi's branded Wegovy® and Zepbound® pathway the answer is yes: a separate $99 monthly membership plus the medication cost (as listed on MEDVi’s program page, September 22, 2026). Both renew until you cancel.

The short answer by plan type

MEDVi uses the word "membership" in two ways on the same site, which is why answers online contradict each other. On the compounded programs, "no membership" means the recurring charge already contains the clinical service and the medication; there is no second line item. On the branded pathway, "membership" is a standing monthly fee for the service, and the FDA-approved medication is a separate cost that MEDVi says is subject to change (MEDVi's program page, read September 22, 2026).

Included care versus a separate membership

On a medication-inclusive plan, the price is the program. MEDVi lists physician review, a personalized plan, 1:1 guidance, a metabolic report, "Free dietician visits & care coaching," "Unlimited 24/7 support," "Fast, Free Shipping" and HSA/FSA eligibility inside its compounded program price. Prescriptions are issued by licensed providers in MEDVi's network, and medication is dispensed by the compounding pharmacies MEDVi names: Triad Rx, RedRock Pharmacy and Beaker Pharmacy & Compounding.

On the branded pathway, the membership buys the service and the medication is a separate transaction at the branded product's cost. That structure is common across telehealth: Hims, Hers and Ro each charge a $149/mo recurring membership billed separately from branded medication as of September 22, 2026. The point for a MEDVi shopper is not which company's membership is cheaper but that a membership-plus-medication bill has two moving parts, and the medication part is the larger and less predictable one. One regulatory distinction sits under the billing one. The compounded programs dispense compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide, prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies; these are not FDA-approved drug products and are not the same as Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Zepbound® or Mounjaro® (FDA statement on unapproved GLP-1 drugs). The branded pathway dispenses the FDA-approved products. A compounded GLP-1 tablet is not the FDA-approved oral product either.

Examples of a full bill without mixing plan types

Each example stays inside one plan type, because adding a compounded program price to a branded membership produces a number nobody pays.

Example 1: compounded semaglutide injection, new patient, three billing cycles. Cycle one is $179. Cycles two and three are $299 each at the displayed refill rate. The three-cycle total is $777, with no membership line. Six cycles come to $1,674 and twelve to $3,468. MEDVi does not publish its cycle length, so twelve cycles are not necessarily a calendar year. Assumption: first-month rate plus (cycles − 1) × refill rate.

Example 2: compounded tirzepatide injection. The structure is the same, first payment then refill rate, and there is no membership fee. MEDVi's ongoing month-to-month rate for compounded tirzepatide injection is $399, verified September 22, 2026. Refill only, three cycles come to $1,197, six to $2,394 and twelve to $4,788. MEDVi shows its tirzepatide first-month offer after the questionnaire; confirm it in the official offer; no new-patient tirzepatide total is computed here. Assumption: refill-only totals are cycles × the ongoing rate.

Example 3: branded Wegovy® or Zepbound®. The bill is the monthly membership shown on MEDVi's page plus the medication cost, billed separately each time it is dispensed. MEDVi's public page does not publish the medication cost, so a three-cycle total cannot be computed here. Ask MEDVi for both numbers in writing before enrolling.

Renewal, cancellation, and medication charges

"No membership fee" does not mean "no recurring charge." MEDVi's compounded programs bill as a subscription that renews each cycle until cancelled; the refill rate is the recurring charge, and it is the number to budget around. MEDVi's policy sets the rules (MEDVi cancellation and refund policy, read September 22, 2026):

• Cancel anytime, but the request must reach MEDVi at least 72 hours before your next billing date, by email to hello@medvi.org or through the patient-portal chat. Service continues to the end of the paid cycle.
• No refund is issued for the month in which you cancel on monthly billing. A full refund applies only if you cancel within the first 72 hours without receiving services, or if a provider medically disqualifies you.
• MEDVi offers 3-, 6- and 12-month bundles; their rates appear in its signup flow and are not published here; they are refundable only for months in which no medication has shipped. Consultation fees are non-refundable, and prescription medication cannot be returned.
• On the branded pathway, the medication charge is a separate transaction from the membership; ask how each is billed and cancelled, because stopping one does not necessarily stop the other.

• What is refunded if my provider does not approve a prescription, if I cancel mid-cycle, or if I choose a multi-month plan and stop early?
• Does the price change if my provider moves me to a different medication or route?
