MEDVi's weight-loss menu falls into three groups. Keeping them separate matters, because a compounded injection, a compounded tablet, and an FDA-approved branded product are different products with different regulatory status and different pricing structures.

Two clarifications apply to every compounded option, at MEDVi or anywhere else. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies for an individual prescription. They are not FDA-approved drug products and are not generic or equivalent versions of Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Zepbound® or Mounjaro®. The same logic applies to the tablet. FDA-approved oral semaglutide exists, but a compounded dissolvable "GLP-1 tablet" is not that product. How intake, provider review, and fulfillment work

The MEDVi process follows the standard cash-pay telehealth arc. You answer an online questionnaire covering weight, health history, and current medications. A licensed provider in MEDVi's network reviews your answers and decides whether a GLP-1 prescription is appropriate. MEDVi's public pages do not name the medical group behind that review, so treat the provider, not the platform, as the prescriber.

If you are approved, the prescription goes to one of MEDVi's named compounding pharmacies, which prepares your medication and ships it free. MEDVi's refund policy states that consult fees are non-refundable, that prescription medication cannot be returned, and that a full refund is available only if you cancel within the first 72 hours without receiving services or if you are medically disqualified.

Eligibility and provider oversight

Neither program guarantees a prescription. At MEDVi, a licensed provider in its network reviews your questionnaire and decides. At PlexusDx, an independent network of U.S.-licensed clinicians reviews your intake through a state-licensed telehealth platform, and treatment decisions are made by your independent prescribing clinician. In both cases the provider, not the company, is responsible for the prescribing decision.

Expect screening questions about personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2, pancreatitis, and current medications, because these are standard GLP-1 contraindication checks. Answer them fully.

Ongoing oversight also differs in form. MEDVi advertises dietitian visits, coaching, and 24/7 support as part of its compounded program.
