Switching from MEDVi to PlexusDx is a new enrollment, not a transfer. You complete a PlexusDx intake, an independent U.S.-licensed clinician reviews your history and decides whether and what to prescribe, and you pay $0 until that approval. What changes when you switch providers?

Three things change. First, the prescriber. PlexusDx connects you to an independent network of U.S.-licensed clinicians through a state-licensed telehealth platform; a new clinician reviews your records and makes treatment decisions independently of anything MEDVi's providers decided. Second, the pharmacy. MEDVi names Triad Rx, RedRock Pharmacy, and Beaker Pharmacy & Compounding on its program page; PlexusDx prescriptions are prepared by state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacies. Packaging, supplies, and presentation may differ. Third, the billing relationship. Your PlexusDx charge and your MEDVi charge are unrelated, so one does not stop the other.

What does not change is the regulatory status. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide from either program are not FDA-approved drug products and are not the same as Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Zepbound® or Mounjaro®; see the FDA's statement on unapproved GLP-1 drugs. A new pharmacy's product is not interchangeable with the old one on your say-so; your clinician decides what you are prescribed and when.

Compare the current total cost first

If you are already a MEDVi patient, the first-month rate no longer applies to you; the refill rate is your comparison basis. MEDVi's refill rates below are its ongoing month-to-month rates, verified September 22, 2026; confirm your current figure in MEDVi's program page. Month-to-month figures only appear below; PlexusDx commitment tiers follow separately.

Checked September 22, 2026. Totals are rate × number of cycles at the refill rate, since a current MEDVi patient has already used the $179 first-month rate. MEDVi's billing cycle length is not published, so 12 cycles is not a calendar year. New MEDVi patients would pay $179 + 11 × $299 = $3,468 over 12 cycles on semaglutide; MEDVi shows its tirzepatide first-month offer after the questionnaire, so no new-patient tirzepatide total is computed. At the ongoing rates, PlexusDx is $110 a month less on either compound: $2,268 versus $3,588 and $3,468 versus $4,788 over 12 billing cycles.

PlexusDx also publishes 3- and 6-month plans: Semaglutide Injection $169/mo ($507 commitment total) and $149/mo ($894 commitment total); Tirzepatide Injection $269/mo ($807) and $249/mo ($1,494). Records your new clinician may need

A new clinician cannot see your MEDVi chart. Gather what you have before intake so the review is based on facts rather than memory. Typical items:

• The name and form of your current medication as printed on the pharmacy label (for example, compounded semaglutide injection).
• The strength and directions exactly as the label states them, plus the date you started and any changes your MEDVi provider made, with dates.
• Side effects you have experienced and how they were handled.
• Your most recent shipment date, the dispensing pharmacy, and how much supply you have on hand.
• The metabolic report or plan MEDVi provided, if any, and any lab results.
• Other medications, supplements, allergies, and relevant conditions.
• Your weight history during treatment, as recorded.

You can request copies of your records from MEDVi through its support channels. This is documentation, not instruction; how your new clinician uses it is their clinical decision.

Intake and independent clinical review

The PlexusDx intake at the PlexusDx intake takes about 60 seconds and costs $0 until a provider approves a prescription. An independent clinician reviews your answers and any records you provide. Five states require a scheduled video consultation; your provider advises. The clinician may approve, request more information, prescribe something different from what you had, or decline. PlexusDx cannot promise a particular outcome, and this page does not either.

If approved, one monthly price covers the provider visit, prescription, medication, and shipping. The price is flat across every dose level for the compound and changes only with commitment tier, so a clinician's decision about strength does not change your bill.

Coordinate existing orders and future refills

Treat MEDVi orders and PlexusDx orders as two separate timelines. On the MEDVi side, note your next billing date and whether an order for the current cycle has already been processed. Under MEDVi's policy, service continues to the end of the billing cycle you have paid for, prescription medication cannot be returned, and there is no refund for the month in which you cancel. On the PlexusDx side, nothing is ordered or charged until a clinician approves; after that, refills follow the tier you selected.

Whether and when to begin a new prescription, and how any remaining supply figures into that, is a clinical conversation with your new clinician, not a scheduling trick. Bring your shipment dates and supply on hand to intake and let the clinician set the plan. Manage the old subscription separately

Completing a PlexusDx intake does nothing to your MEDVi account. If you decide to leave MEDVi, you cancel with MEDVi directly under its cancellation and refund policy: request cancellation at least 72 hours before your next billing date through hello@medvi.org or the patient-portal chat, and keep the written confirmation. A full refund applies only within the first 72 hours without receiving services or on medical disqualification. Multi-month plans are refundable only for months in which no medication has shipped, and consultation fees are non-refundable. If you are on a MEDVi multi-month plan, read those terms before deciding on timing.

The reverse is also true: cancelling MEDVi does not enroll you anywhere. Many people prefer to know the outcome of a new clinical review before ending an existing subscription; that sequencing is a personal and financial choice, and the treatment timing within it belongs to your clinician. A note on genetics (optional)

PlexusDx offers compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide through its Weight Management Protocols. Frequently Asked Questions

Does my MEDVi prescription transfer to PlexusDx?

No. A switch is a new enrollment. An independent U.S.-licensed clinician in PlexusDx's network reviews your intake and records and decides whether to prescribe, what to prescribe, and at what strength. Approval, the same medication, the same dose, the same pharmacy, and the same delivery timing are not guaranteed. You pay $0 until a provider approves a prescription.

What does PlexusDx cost compared with my current MEDVi refill rate?

Should I cancel MEDVi before or after I complete the PlexusDx intake?

They are separate decisions. Completing a PlexusDx intake does not affect your MEDVi account, and cancelling MEDVi does not enroll you at PlexusDx. Many people wait for the outcome of the new clinical review before cancelling. When and whether to begin a new prescription is a clinical conversation with your new clinician, not something this page can schedule for you.

How do I cancel MEDVi, and will I get a refund?
