What each weight management protocol actually does for you
Four protocols, plain English. How each one works — and what to expect.
ChangesA low-dose GLP-1 entry point — your provider selects from four delivery variants, all at one flat price.
You'll feelA gentler introduction to GLP-1 therapy, designed for a lighter side-effect profile than full-dose titration.
ChangesA GLP-1 receptor agonist supporting appetite regulation and gastric emptying, titrated by your provider across five dose levels.
You'll feelMost people notice reduced hunger within the first weeks; steady, provider-guided progress follows.
ChangesA GIP/GLP-1 dual agonist engaging two incretin pathways instead of one, provider-titrated across six dose levels.
You'll feelDual-pathway appetite and metabolic support, with your provider advancing your dose as your body responds.
ChangesA dual-compound formulation combining Semaglutide and Tirzepatide across multiple incretin pathways — a clinical step-up.
You'll feelProvider-directed when a single compound isn't the right fit; both compounds titrate together under supervision.
Each protocol is provider-prescribed — your clinical profile and goals drive the choice, not a shopping cart.

Who weight management at PlexusDx is for
Designed for adults ready for medically-supervised weight management.
Every protocol is reviewed by a licensed provider in your state. Eligibility is set clinically, not by a chatbot. Here's who fits the program — and who doesn't.
Who's a fit
You'd benefit from this protocol if…
-
You're an adult 18+ with a BMI of 27 or higher (or 25+ with a weight-related condition like prediabetes or hypertension).
-
You want medical supervision and monthly monitoring, not a one-time prescription drop.
-
You have no history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2 syndrome, and no active pancreatitis or gallbladder disease.
-
You're committed to lifestyle support alongside medication — nutrition, movement, sleep.
Who's not a fit
A different approach is better if…
-
You're under 18. Our protocols are for adults only.
-
You're pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive — GLP-1 medications are not appropriate during these life stages.
-
You have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2, active pancreatitis, severe gastroparesis, or diabetic retinopathy.
-
You're looking for a one-time prescription with no follow-up. We're built for the long game — monthly provider check-ins and titration, not a single fill-and-go transaction.
What's included
One monthly price covers everything you need to start.
Every weight management protocol at PlexusDx ships with the same six service inclusions. The Precision Peptide Genetic Test is the only add-on, and it's never auto-added at checkout — you choose if and when to add it.

A board-licensed clinician reviews your intake and writes the script. No chatbot, no algorithmic approval.
Compounded medication shipped from a licensed 503A pharmacy
Your prescription is filled by a state-licensed compounding pharmacy and shipped directly to your door.
Ongoing clinical check-ins across your protocol cycle
Your provider monitors response, side effects, and progress — and adjusts your dose if needed within the same protocol.
Every refill is reviewed by your provider
Request your next month from your patient portal. Your provider re-authorizes each refill before the 503A pharmacy ships — no video call required.
Plain-label shipments. No branding on the outer box.
No sender name visible from the porch. No category language on the box. Patient privacy preserved at the curb.
Add the genetic test as a $99 add-on after your first month
150+ insights across 14 pathways. Optional, never required — your provider decides care without it.
All-inclusive monthly price
From $129/mo to $369/mo across seven protocols.
No membership stack. No hidden fees. No surprise upgrades. The price you see on every compound product page is the price you pay.
What GLP-1 weight-loss programs actually cost per month
GLP-1 programs price three ways: some publish one flat rate, some advertise a low first-month or medication-only price and charge more on an ongoing basis, and some don't show a price until you complete a quiz. Below is what each program's ongoing price actually is, recorded by going through each program's signup. PlexusDx publishes one flat rate — $189/month semaglutide, $289/month tirzepatide — that's the same at every dose and the same every month. If you're weighing GLP-1 program alternatives, compare each one's ongoing all-in price, not just its headline rate.
Ongoing monthly prices · recorded through each program's signup · July 17, 2026How much does each GLP-1 program actually cost per month?
Across the five programs we have verified by completing signup, ongoing all-in prices run from $189 to $299/month for semaglutide and $289 to $399 for tirzepatide. Several advertise a lower first-month or medication-only rate than they charge ongoing, and a few don't show an ongoing price at all until after a quiz — those are listed separately below, with only the figures they publish themselves.
| Provider | Advertised (sema / tirz) |
Ongoing all-in (sema / tirz) |
How the pricing works | Compare |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PlexusDx | $189 / $289 | $189 / $289 | One flat published price; no membership; same at every dose | — |
| Eden | $99 (med only) | $198 / $298 | Medication-only $99 headline plus a required $99/mo membership | soon |
| Peak Wellness | $179 (1st mo) | $249 / $349 | First-month promotional rate, then the ongoing rate | soon |
| Sprout | $149 / $199 (1st mo) | $299 / $349 | First-month promotional rate, then the ongoing rate | soon |
| TrimRx | $179 / $279 (1st mo) | $299 / $399 | First-month promotional rate, then the ongoing rate; lower per-month rates on 3-, 6- and 12-month plans charged upfront | Compare TrimRx vs PlexusDx → |
In each price pair, the first figure is semaglutide and the second is tirzepatide. Every ongoing all-in figure above was recorded by going through that program's own signup to checkout, with dated screenshots on file — medication plus any required membership fee. "Advertised" is each provider's headline first-month, medication-only, or entry price. All figures are month-to-month; several programs, PlexusDx included, price lower on a multi-month commitment. Prices change often and are re-verified regularly. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved (see below).
Which programs are you still verifying?
Eight more programs are in progress. We publish a program's ongoing all-in price only after we have completed its signup and captured the checkout, so for these we list only the price each company publishes itself — not what we think you would end up paying.
| Provider | Advertised on its own site (sema / tirz) |
Ongoing all-in |
|---|---|---|
| BetterMe Rx | not shown until a health quiz | not yet verified |
| Embody | $79 / $129 (1st mo) | not yet verified |
| Found | from $289 (sema) | not yet verified |
| Fridays | re-checking | not yet verified |
| Henry Meds | $297 (sema)‡ | not yet verified |
| Medvi | $179 / $279 (1st mo) | not yet verified |
| Remedy Meds | $179 / $279 (1st mo) | not yet verified |
| Zealthy | $217 / $349 (1st mo) | not yet verified |
Advertised figures are each company's own published headline as of July 2026 and are checkable on its website; we have not completed signup for these programs, so we do not state an ongoing all-in price for them. Fridays is marked "re-checking" because our earlier figure is disputed by its own published rate and by the option its checkout pre-selects — rather than publish a number we now doubt, we have withdrawn it pending a fresh capture. ‡ Henry Meds offers tirzepatide as an oral dissolving tablet only, not as an injection. This list shrinks as each program is verified; the table above is updated when it is.

Frequently asked
Answers before you start.
Twenty-seven questions covering protocol mechanics, pricing, providers, refills, the optional genetic test, safety, and how weight management combines with other family protocols.
About the protocol
What the protocol is and how PlexusDx differs.
The medically supervised, all-inclusive monthly subscription model — and what makes it different from competing telehealth programs.
What is a PlexusDx weight management protocol?
A PlexusDx weight management protocol is a medically supervised, all-inclusive monthly subscription that includes a licensed prescriber consultation, your medication compounded by a 503A pharmacy, ongoing provider monitoring, and provider-reviewed refills. Seven protocol options are available across GLP-1 single-agonist, dual-agonist, microdose, oral, and injection routes — covering Microdose GLP-1, Semaglutide Injection, Semaglutide Oral, Tirzepatide Injection, Tirzepatide Oral, GLP-Squared Injection, and GLP-Squared Oral.
How is PlexusDx different from other weight management programs?
PlexusDx pairs every protocol with optional genetic insight from the Precision Peptide Genetic Test, bills one flat monthly price with no membership stack and no upfront prepay commitment, and uses real medical authority — licensed prescribers, not AI prescriptions. Many weight management programs charge a separate membership fee on top of medication, require an annual prepay to reach their lowest advertised rate, or run app-based models with no clinical protocol. PlexusDx includes prescriber, 503A pharmacy, medication, monitoring, and provider-reviewed refills in one published monthly price.
Is this a real medical protocol or just an online prescription service?
Every PlexusDx weight management protocol is a real, individualized medical protocol. A licensed prescriber reviews your intake, prescribes your medication, monitors your response, and re-authorizes every refill. The 503A pharmacy compounds your medication to that prescription. There is no AI prescribing, no auto-refill mechanism, and no protocol that ships without a provider in the loop on every step.
Are PlexusDx protocols available in all 50 states?
Yes. PlexusDx weight management protocols are available in all 50 US states through our CareValidate licensed provider network. Five states require a live telehealth video consultation rather than an asynchronous intake; the other 45 allow asynchronous intake. Your routing questionnaire identifies which path applies based on your state of residence, so you know what to expect before you start the medical intake.
Eligibility + getting started
Who qualifies and how to start.
Who PlexusDx weight management protocols are designed for, and the routing flow that gets you to the right protocol in about 60 seconds.
Am I eligible for a weight management protocol?
You’re eligible if you’re an adult 18 or older with a BMI of 27 or higher, or 25 or higher with a weight-related condition such as prediabetes or hypertension. You must have no history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2 syndrome, active pancreatitis, or severe gastroparesis. Pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying-to-conceive individuals are not eligible for GLP-1 protocols.
How do I get started?
Start with the Find My Protocol routing questionnaire — about 60 seconds — to identify which of the seven weight management protocols fits your situation. From there you complete the CareValidate medical intake, a licensed prescriber reviews your case, and your medication ships from the 503A pharmacy within 3 to 5 business days of provider approval. Nothing is charged until your provider approves your prescription.
Do I need blood work to start a weight management protocol?
Blood work is not clinically required for GLP-1 weight management protocols at PlexusDx. Your provider may request labs based on your individual medical history, but the standard intake does not require a blood draw. Some other protocols may require baseline lab work depending on the medication involved; if that applies to your care, your provider will let you know during intake.
Pricing + billing
What you'll pay and what's included.
One flat price per compound, published before you enroll. The price you see on the pricing table is the price you pay.
How much does a PlexusDx weight management protocol cost?
Weight management protocols range from $129/mo to $369/mo across seven protocols, with Microdose GLP-1 starting at $129/mo. Each compound has one flat monthly price that does not change as your dose changes — your dose may need to go up, but your price won’t. Every compound’s price is published on its product page before you enroll. What you see on the pricing table is what you pay.
What’s included in the all-inclusive monthly price?
Your all-inclusive monthly price covers six things: licensed prescriber consultation, 503A pharmacy compounding, your medication, ongoing provider monitoring, provider-reviewed refills, and discreet shipping. The optional Precision Peptide Genetic Test is a $99 add-on available after your first month and is never required to start a protocol — bills monthly with no membership stack or hidden fees.
Are there any hidden fees, prepay commitments, or membership charges?
No. PlexusDx bills monthly with no membership fee, no annual prepay commitment, and no per-dose markup. The published price on the pricing table is your total monthly cost. Cancel anytime with no fees and no long-term contract.
Medication + pharmacy
Where your medication comes from.
503A compounded medication, prepared by licensed pharmacies in response to your individual prescription.
Where does my medication come from?
Your medication is compounded by a licensed 503A pharmacy in response to your individual prescription. 503A pharmacies are state-board-regulated facilities that prepare patient-specific compounded medications under strict USP standards. This differs from FDA-branded retail medication — the 503A model gives PlexusDx pricing flexibility and dose-level customization that branded products do not allow.
Is compounded GLP-1 medication safe?
Compounded GLP-1 medication is prepared by a licensed 503A pharmacy to USP compounding standards and is prescribed by your licensed provider for your individual case. Your provider reviews your medical history before prescribing, monitors your response monthly, and discusses risks and possible side effects with you. Raise any specific safety questions with your provider during intake, and report concerns through your patient portal at any time.
How is my medication shipped?
Medication ships discreetly via temperature-controlled carrier, typically within 3 to 5 business days of your provider approving your prescription. Tracking is provided through your patient portal. Initial shipments include all supplies needed to begin — vials or oral tablets, syringes if applicable, and dosing instructions reviewed by your provider before the package leaves the 503A pharmacy.
Provider care
How provider care works on every protocol.
Licensed prescribers, monthly review, and provider-reviewed refills — real medical authority, no AI prescriptions.
Will I work with a real licensed provider?
Yes. Every PlexusDx weight management protocol is prescribed and monitored by a licensed provider in the CareValidate network — real medical authority, not AI prescriptions. Your provider reviews your intake, writes your prescription, monitors your response month over month, and re-authorizes every refill before the 503A pharmacy ships your medication.
How often will I communicate with my provider?
Your provider reviews your case at intake, every refill, and any time you request a check-in or report a concern through your patient portal. Standard cadence is monthly — your provider re-authorizes each refill based on your reported response, side effects, and progress. Additional check-ins are available at no extra cost during your active protocol.
Can I request a dose adjustment from my provider?
Yes. Dose titration is part of standard protocol management. Request a dose change through your patient portal — your provider reviews the request and titrates within the compound. If your provider determines a different compound is the better fit, they can switch you between compounds; your monthly billing updates to the new compound’s price at that point.
Refills + ongoing protocol
How ongoing care continues month over month.
Provider-reviewed refills, compound switching, and what happens if you miss a month.
How do refills work?
Future refills are reviewed by your provider before each ship. Request your next month from your patient portal — your provider re-authorizes the refill based on your reported response and any side effect notes, then the 503A pharmacy ships. There is no auto-refill mechanism. Provider-reviewed refills are a deliberate part of the CareValidate protocol architecture, not a friction point.
What happens if I miss a refill?
Missing a refill request pauses your protocol — nothing ships until you request the next month and your provider re-authorizes. Your account stays active and you can resume anytime. If a longer gap occurs, your provider may want to reassess your protocol before resuming, especially for protocols with titrating dose levels.
Can I switch compounds without starting a new protocol?
Yes. If your provider determines a different compound is the better fit — for example, switching from Semaglutide to Tirzepatide, or stepping down to Microdose GLP-1 — you stay in your active protocol and your monthly billing updates to the new compound’s price. No new intake required, no enrollment fees.
Genetic test add-on
The optional Precision Peptide Genetic Test.
An optional $99 add-on after your first month — never required to start a protocol.
What is the Precision Peptide Genetic Test?
The Precision Peptide Genetic Test analyzes how your genes influence weight management pathways and other peptide-related biological pathways. The panel covers 14 pathways, 49 peptides, and 150+ genetic insights — including 34 weight management pathway insights specifically. It does not recommend, prescribe, or determine which peptides you should use; consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any peptide protocol.
Do I need the genetic test to start a weight management protocol?
No. The Precision Peptide Genetic Test is an optional $99 add-on available after your first month of an active protocol. You can start any of the seven weight management protocols without the test. If you do add the test later, the genetic insights are delivered through your Results Portal alongside your protocol care.
Side effects + safety
Side effects, contraindications, and emergencies.
Common side effects, conditions that disqualify, and what to do if something serious comes up.
What are the most common side effects?
Common GLP-1 side effects include nausea, mild gastrointestinal discomfort, decreased appetite, fatigue during dose escalation, and occasional injection-site reactions for injectable protocols. Most side effects are mild and improve over the first weeks as your body adjusts. Severe or persistent symptoms should be reported to your provider through the patient portal — your provider can adjust your dose or switch your compound if needed.
Are there conditions that disqualify me from a weight management protocol?
Yes. GLP-1 protocols are not appropriate if you have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2 syndrome, active pancreatitis, severe gastroparesis, or diabetic retinopathy. Pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying-to-conceive individuals are also not eligible. Your provider reviews your full medical history at intake and will flag any contraindications before prescribing.
What if I have a serious side effect?
Report any serious side effect to your provider immediately through the patient portal, which is monitored throughout business hours. For medical emergencies, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department first, then notify your provider. Your provider can pause, adjust, or discontinue your protocol based on your report and recommend the appropriate next step for your care.
Cancel + change protocol
Cancelling, pausing, and changing your protocol.
Cancel anytime, pause anytime, and switch compounds without starting over.
How do I cancel my protocol?
Cancel anytime from your patient portal — no fees, no long-term contract, no phone calls required. Cancellation takes effect immediately and stops all future provider review and shipments. You retain access to your patient portal records and any unused medication you’ve already received. Re-enrollment is available anytime if you decide to resume later.
Can I pause my protocol instead of cancelling?
Yes. Skip a refill request to pause your protocol — your account stays active and you can resume anytime by requesting your next refill from your portal, which your provider then reviews. For longer pauses, your provider may want to reassess your protocol before resuming, especially at higher titrated dose levels where step-up pacing matters for tolerance.
Cross-protocol stacking
Combining weight management with other family protocols.
When weight management can be combined with other PlexusDx family protocols.
Can I stack a weight management protocol with another PlexusDx protocol?
Stacking depends on your individual case and which protocols are involved. Some combinations are clinically appropriate when your provider reviews both intakes together, and others are not. Discuss any stacking interest with your provider during intake; they will determine the right sequence and combination for your situation, and whether stacking is appropriate at all.
