A PlexusDx weight management protocol is a medically supervised prescription plan: an online visit with a licensed provider, your compounded medication, ongoing provider oversight and shipping, at one published price per plan. Five protocols are available on two GLP-1 medicines: Microdose GLP-1, Semaglutide Injection, Semaglutide Oral, Tirzepatide Injection and Tirzepatide Oral.
How is PlexusDx different from other weight management programs?
PlexusDx pairs every protocol with an optional genetic test few telehealth programs offer, publishes every price up front, and uses real medical authority: licensed providers, not AI prescriptions. There is no membership fee.
Is this a real medical protocol or just an online prescription service?
Every PlexusDx weight management protocol is an individualized medical protocol. A licensed provider reviews your online visit, decides whether a medication is right for you, writes your prescription and stays involved as your dose changes. A licensed pharmacy compounds your medication to that prescription. There is no AI prescribing.
Where are PlexusDx weight management protocols available?
PlexusDx works with an independent network of U.S.-licensed clinicians through a state-licensed telehealth platform. Your provider confirms availability for your state at your online visit. Depending on your state or health history, your provider may ask for a phone or video visit.

Am I eligible for a weight management protocol?
You’re eligible if you’re an adult 18 or older with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition such as prediabetes or hypertension. You must have no history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2 syndrome, active pancreatitis, or severe gastroparesis. Pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying-to-conceive individuals are not eligible for GLP-1 protocols.
How do I get started?
Start your online visit: a short set of questions about your goals and health history. A licensed provider reviews it and decides whether a medication is right for you. Cards are charged once your prescription is sent to the pharmacy.
Do I need blood work to start a weight management protocol?
Blood work is not clinically required for GLP-1 weight management protocols at PlexusDx. Your provider may request labs based on your individual medical history, but the standard intake does not require a blood draw. Some other protocols may require baseline lab work depending on the medication involved; if that applies to your care, your provider will let you know during intake.

On a 12-month plan, Microdose GLP-1 starts at $69/mo ($828 billed up front), semaglutide at $99/mo ($1,188) and tirzepatide at $129/mo ($1,548), as an injection or a tablet. Month to month, Microdose GLP-1 is $99, semaglutide $149 and tirzepatide $189. Your dose may need to go up. Your price won’t.
How do the 1-, 3-, 6- and 12-month plans work?
Choose a 1-, 3-, 6- or 12-month plan. 3-, 6- and 12-month plans are charged once, up front, and renew automatically until you cancel future renewals. There is no membership fee.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card, or pay over time?
Yes. HSA and FSA cards accepted at checkout. Pay over time on 3-, 6- and 12-month plans. The 1-month plan does not offer pay over time. You choose how to pay at checkout.
What’s included in the price?

Your medication is compounded by a licensed 503A pharmacy in response to your individual prescription. 503A pharmacies are state-board-regulated facilities that prepare patient-specific compounded medications under strict USP standards.
Is compounded GLP-1 medication safe?
Compounded GLP-1 medication is prepared by a licensed 503A pharmacy to USP compounding standards and is prescribed by your licensed provider for your individual case. Your provider reviews your medical history before prescribing, monitors your response, and discusses risks and possible side effects with you. Raise any specific safety questions with your provider during intake, and report concerns through your patient portal at any time.
How is my medication shipped?
After your provider approves your prescription, the pharmacy typically prepares and ships it within 3 to 5 business days by UPS 2nd Day Air, in discreet packaging, with no shipping charge. Pause a delivery or update your shipping address in your patient portal at my.plexusdx.com.

Will I work with a real licensed provider?
Yes. Every PlexusDx weight management protocol is prescribed and monitored by a licensed provider in our independent clinician network: real medical authority, not AI prescriptions. Your provider reviews your online visit, writes your prescription, adjusts your dose as needed and reviews your treatment again before your prescription runs out.
How often will I communicate with my provider?
Your provider reviews your online visit before prescribing and reviews your treatment again before your prescription runs out. A 12-month plan includes a provider check-in at 6 months. Report a concern or ask a question through your patient portal at my.plexusdx.com at any time.
Can I request a dose adjustment from my provider?
Yes. Dose changes are part of standard care. Request one through your patient portal, and your provider reviews the request and decides whether to adjust your dose within your medication.

How do refills work?
Every plan renews automatically at the same plan length until you cancel future renewals. 1-month plans ship a 1-month supply; 3-, 6- and 12-month plans ship a 3-month supply in each box. Your provider reviews your treatment again before your prescription runs out.
What happens if a renewal payment fails?
New shipments pause, and we ask you to update your card in your patient portal at my.plexusdx.com. If the payment stays unresolved, the plan may be canceled. After a long gap, your provider may want to reassess your treatment before you restart.
Can I switch medications?
Ask your provider through your patient portal. Your provider decides whether a different medication, such as tirzepatide instead of semaglutide, or Microdose GLP-1, is right for you. Each medication’s plan prices are in the pricing table on this page.

The GLP-1 & Peptide Pathways Genetic Test analyzes how your genes influence weight management pathways and other peptide-related biological pathways. The panel covers 14 pathways, 49 peptides, and 150+ genetic insights — including 34 weight management pathway insights specifically. It does not recommend, prescribe, or determine which peptides you should use; consult a qualified healthcare provider before beginning any peptide protocol.
Do I need the genetic test to start a weight management protocol?
No. The GLP-1 & Peptide Pathways Genetic Test is an optional $99 add-on available after your first month of an active protocol. You can start any of the five weight management protocols without the test. If you do add the test later, the genetic insights are delivered through your Results Portal alongside your protocol care.

Common side effects, conditions that disqualify, and what to do if something serious comes up.
What are the most common side effects?
Common GLP-1 side effects include nausea, mild gastrointestinal discomfort, decreased appetite, fatigue during dose escalation, and occasional injection-site reactions for injectable protocols. Most side effects are mild and improve over the first weeks as your body adjusts. Severe or persistent symptoms should be reported to your provider through the patient portal — your provider can adjust your dose or switch your compound if needed.
Are there conditions that disqualify me from a weight management protocol?
Yes. GLP-1 protocols are not appropriate if you have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2 syndrome, active pancreatitis, severe gastroparesis, or diabetic retinopathy. Pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying-to-conceive individuals are also not eligible. Your provider reviews your full medical history at intake and will flag any contraindications before prescribing.
What if I have a serious side effect?
Report any serious side effect to your provider immediately through the patient portal, which is monitored throughout business hours. For medical emergencies, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department first, then notify your provider. Your provider can pause, adjust, or discontinue your protocol based on your report and recommend the appropriate next step for your care.

How do I cancel my protocol?
Cancel future renewals anytime: turn off automatic renewal under Manage subscription in your patient portal at my.plexusdx.com before your next renewal charge. You keep the treatment you have already paid for. Cancelling does not create a prorated refund of a prepaid plan.
Can I pause my protocol instead of cancelling?
Yes. Pause a delivery or update your shipping address in your patient portal at my.plexusdx.com. You can pause for 1 to 12 months at a time, and your plan price stays the same. After a long pause, your provider may want to reassess your treatment before you resume.

Can I stack a weight management protocol with another PlexusDx protocol?
Stacking depends on your individual case and which protocols are involved. Some combinations are clinically appropriate when your provider reviews both intakes together, and others are not. Discuss any stacking interest with your provider during intake; they will determine the right sequence and combination for your situation, and whether stacking is appropriate at all.
