Important safety information
Compounded glutathione injection is a prescription medication. Compounded medications are prescription medications prepared by state-licensed pharmacies for an individual prescription. They are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness or quality.
Do not use glutathione if you have had an allergic reaction to it or to any ingredient in the compounded product. Tell your provider if you have asthma, kidney or liver disease, a history of cancer, or if you are being treated for cancer, including chemotherapy, since glutathione may interact with some cancer treatments.
Possible side effects include pain, redness or swelling at the injection site, nausea, stomach cramps, bloating, flushing and headache. Rarely, allergic reactions have been reported. Stop using glutathione and get medical help right away if you have signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as trouble breathing, swelling of the face or throat, or hives.
