Important safety information
Compounded GHK-Cu (copper peptide) cream is a prescription topical medication. Compounded medications are prescription medications prepared by state-licensed pharmacies for an individual prescription. They are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review compounded medications for safety, effectiveness or quality.
For external use only. Do not apply to broken, irritated or infected skin, or to the eyes or mouth. Do not use GHK-Cu if you have had an allergic reaction to copper or to any ingredient in the compounded product, or if you have Wilson’s disease or another condition affecting copper metabolism. Tell your provider about any skin conditions and every topical product you use.
Possible side effects include redness, stinging, itching, dryness or irritation where the cream is applied, and small bumps or a rash. Stop using the cream and contact your provider if irritation persists or worsens, and get medical help right away if you have signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as trouble breathing or swelling of the face or throat.
This is not a complete list. Talk to your provider about your full medical history and every medication and supplement you take, and tell your provider if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
